I headed over to a friends house today on the same street our dear friends Beth and Zach used to live on. I have to admit I got a little bit sad when I saw their old house. We miss you guys so much!

The Pioneer Woman and I took a little trip to White Sands Beach today. I practiced with the Av setting on the camera. I took about 80 pictures and only about 5 are worth anything. I have a long way to go!!!! But practice makes perfect and I plan on doing a lot more practicing. This is the one I liked the best.

Oh my goodness 21 pictures! I went to the pool with intention of practicing my new shooting techniques the Pioneer Woman has been teaching me online but I didn't bring the CF card. DOH! Peach and her friend Vaughn at the pool tonight

He Won! The district spelling bee that is! The winning words were fracture, equator and horizon. We are beyond proud and busy planning a trip to Anchorage.

I have been playing around with the camera settings on my digital SLR. I figured I should learn how to use it in manual mode before I purchase a new one. I was really happy with the results and can't wait to learn more. I just wish we had better lighting right now, its been cold and gray for days.
